Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is well known Saint of India. He lived in a village called Shirdi. Shirdi is a small town in the state of Maharashtra , near the bank of river Godavari. 

Shirdi Sai is respectfully addressed as BABA —  meaning father .

Shri Sai Baba  was often found sitting  under a neem tree (Azadirachta indica ) and   said  that it was the seat of His teacher .

Shri Shirdi Sai Baba preached brotherhood and told people to have faith (shraddha) and patience (saburi). Sai baba never discriminated on basis of caste, creed, religion, language etc .

Shri Shirdi Sai Baba performed several miracles during his lifetime . He cured people of their diseases. He lighted lamps with water and could foresee events.

Shirdi Sai loved lighting lamps, planting flowering plants, watering plants , and celeberated various festivals like Ramnavami, Deepawali, Janamashtmi, etc

Children often flocked to Shirdi Sai during his lifetime as He loved one and all. Shirdi Sai often cooked food for His devotees and enjoyed feeding His visitors/ devotees.  For this , he made kichdi ( rice mixed and cooked with pulses).

Shirdi Sai preached love towards one and all  . Shirdi Sai is the supreme  father of all human beings . Today, one can see  a long queue of devotees offering respect at  Sai Babas shrine  in Shirdi .

Let us all offer our respects and pranams to the great Saint Shri Shirdi Sai .
