Mahasamadhi Diwas-2019 Message

Gurujee at Sai ka AanganDevotees of Sai Baba often ask about Shirdi Sai Baba’s views regarding the divine protection of His devotees. They refer to a few sayings of Sai Baba before He entered His Maha Samadhi on 15th October 1918. He assured continued support to His devotees even after His Maha Samadhi. For e.g., He said “My tomb shall bless and speak to the needs of My devotees, My mortal remains would speak from My tomb, I am ever living to help and guide all who come to Me, who surrender to Me and who seek refuge in Me.”

Shri Sai Satcharita and other available literature on Sai Baba bring forth a few of the assurances of divine protection by the Sadguru. They are:

  • Once a Sadguru enters your life, slowly everything else loses its significance. Soon your existence becomes about the Sadguru to whom you submit your intelligence, your ego, and ultimately your all.
  • If the right bhava or devotion is present, everything else just follows.
  • The Sadgurus say: “To those of whom, I bestow the pure essence, I will first redeem them from all that is impure.” The obstructions created by the impurities of the heart need to be removed before the divine can permeate the inner recesses of the consciousness.
  • The Sadguru never leaves His devotees to suffer in pain and agony. He helps in His own inscrutable way.
  • The Sadguru’s heart is as soft as that of a mother. He feels compelled to give. He is the one, who grants us devotion.
  • Both Kakasaheb and Mhalsapati were mukti-kamis in keeping with their Guru’s wishes. Even in their desire for liberation, they wanted to be guided by the Sadguru’s will, over their own beliefs. They were the true devotees whom Baba ever helped.

Let us remember Shri Shirdi Sai Baba on this pious day of His Maha Samadhi and try to follow the path shown by Him.

Jai Shri Sai!
